Committee Announcement
The Committee are delighted to announce that the loan application has been sanctioned by AIB for the Club’s new location at Kilnagleary. The Committee are now in the process of appointing contractors and are planning to start groundworks on the site very shortly. The Committee would like to thank you for your patience and support to date and will keep you informed of further developments.
It’s time to build a club!
The last visit by members to Curraheen Greyhound Track
in November was very well supported and those who were there thoroughly
enjoyed the night.
The Fundraising Committee were very pleased with the turnout and the
member’s support on the last occasion and hope that it will be repeated
this time.
Including donations the club made €2,190 after expenses on the last
outing and would hope to increase on this amount on the night of 25th May 2013.

Your Club Needs You!
The Club Committee wish to increase the profile of the Club in the Community and further afield. This is important for the Club as we embark on our major development project, and the parallel need to fundraise. To do this we hope to find someone in our membership who would be prepared to take on the important work of Public Relations Officer, reporting to the Committee.
The work would involve gathering all relevant information about the club and its activities and presenting this in a timely fashion to various media outlets, including our own website, and face book.
If this is something you would enjoy doing well, please let any member of the committee know of your interest.
ATTENTION MEMBERS - Court Booking
The new Court Booking system was reviewed by the Committee at their meeting on 13th May and it was indicated that the majority of members were in agreement with continuing with this system.
A new Online Court Booking System will be introduced shortly and you will be informed of the details in due course.
At the recent AGM it was decided to trial a new booking system to avoid people having to queue for long periods for a court. This will start on Saturday January 5th 2013 at 12 noon and will be reviewed.
How it works:
- Everyone who is in the clubhouse at booking time; (12.00 on Saturday and Sunday, 8.00 weeknights); puts their name on a ticket which is then put into a box on the counter
- Ticket books will also be on the counter; if they can’t be found just write them on the back of paper
- First name drawn out of the box has first choice of court and time; second name out second choice and so on
- Anyone arriving after booking time joins the queue and books their court in the order they arrive as normal

8pm.This is a great way for members to meet up and enjoy some social
tennis. The Organisers hope that all members, both new and not so new,
