GlaxoSmithKline May Weekend Junior Tournament 2013
The Annual Junior Open
Tournament sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline was held over the May Bank
Holiday weekend at Carrigaline Tennis Club. GlaxoSmithKline have been
involved with this tournament for over ten years.
As always, the event was well supported and attracted a large entry with
competitors travelling from all over Munster and from Dublin.
Valuable National Junior Ranking Points were picked up by Junior Players
in the U12, U14 and U16 singles events.
The Boys U16 produced some brilliant tennis for the onlookers with Tadgh
Brennan finally grasping victory 10-8 in a Championship tie-break
Thanks to Brian for his usual efficient running of the Event and to Sheila and her helpers for keeping everyone suitably fed and watered over the course of the weekend.
