The Committee has reviewed the Doubles Format of the Ladies, Mixed and Men's Doubles for the Club Championships. This year there is a Draw for Partners but there is an A and a B Event in all Doubles. The A doubles is for grades 2, 3 and 4 and the B doubles is for grades 5, 6 and 7.
Internal League
The Spring internal league will be commencing this week on Wednesday 23rd March and Friday 25th March from 7pm to 9pm. Schedule of play is available in the clubhouse and also on the website.

Parent & Child Tournament
Well done to everyone who took part in the second Annual Parent & Child
Tournament.
The event was well supported with twenty participants.
At the end of a very enjoyable afternoon of tennis, only 3.5 points
separated the winning team and the team that brought up the rear.
As always in the spirit of the event, all the juniors were presented
with a prize.

Catherine Mulhare Closed Veterans Tournament
Brian Walsh ran a very successful Closed Veterans Tournament over the
week-end of 13th/14th November 2010.
Competitors were divided into teams of four and played several matches
over the two days.
The weather was beautiful on Sunday but on Saturday play was delayed
throughout the day due to inclement weather.
After some very close matches the team of Moninne Collins, Jack Daly,
Louise O’Sullivan and John Cagney triumphed. The runner-up team was Tom
Noonan, Betty Thompson, Kay Desmond and Ann O’Hea.
At a prize-giving ceremony in the GAA Bar, John Mulhare presented the
Catherine Mulhare Memorial Trophy to the Winning Team Captain, Moninne
Collins.

Annual Fergus Slyne Memorial Tournament
On Sunday 31st October, the inaugural Fergus Slyne Memorial Tournament took place in Carrigaline Tennis Club. Fergus was a very popular and long time member of Carrigaline Tennis Club.
Despite a wet start, over forty competitors took part in a very enjoyable and competitive tournament. After three hours of play, the top two teams competed for the Fergus Slyne Silver Salver.
Team 1: Mark Cunningham, Gay Foster, Karl Slyne and Monina Collins.
Team 2: John Ryan, Sheila Stokes, John Cagney and Stephanie Corkery.
In a closely fought final, Team 2 triumphed by 38 points to 37 points.
Carrigaline Tennis Club would like to thank the Slyne family for supporting this Memorial Tournament and look forward to hosting the event again next year.
